Volunteers of America Southwest Colorado
Southwest Safehouse (970) 259-5443 The Southwest Safehouse serves women and children escaping domestic violence with comprehensive residential shelter services, and provides necessary tools and support to recover from trauma and start a new life. Durango Community Shelter (970) 259-1021 The Durango Community Shelter serves families and individuals experiencing homelessness with comprehensive residential shelter services, and provides support to regain self-sufficiency. Alternative Horizons Office (970) 247-4374 Alternative Horizons provides support and alternatives to survivors of domestic violence and their families while striving to strengthen our community through education and prevention outreach. Sexual Assault Services Organization Office {SASO} (970) 259-3074 SASO offers survivors of sexual violence support, compassion, hope, and healing. We work to end sexual violence through survivor-led advocacy and prevention education that recognizes the connections between oppression and sexual violence. |

An application is required and reviewed for approval. All qualifying applicants should have a plan towards stable rebuilding or be willing to converse about creating a stable plan. Summit Church (970) 247-4213 Hours: T and TH from 9 AM-12 PM Address: 2917 Aspen Drive, Durango Arrive during the days and hours list to complete an application.
