We find great joy in our connection with our global partners. With the intention to empower women to rise from poverty and escape trafficking we have created purposeful partnerships with ethical organizations in Cambodia and India. We support the efforts of ethical organizations who provide holistic care to the women they serve, and adequately prepare them for a bright future. We are astounded by the products they craft and create, and the lives they restore.

“Sak Saum” is a verb in Khmer, the primary language of Cambodia, meaning to restore to original condition, to remake as new filled with dignity, value, and beauty. Located in the Saang District of Cambodia, Sak Saum is a ministry dedicated to the prevention, rescue, restoration, transformation, and rehabilitation of vulnerable and exploited women, men, and children. From the beginning, their goal has been to create a nurturing, empowering, restorative program which facilitates vocational training in sewing excellent products and community development. Sak Saum is a pioneer model of self-sustaining ministry. They believe in the powerful, life-changing outreach with effective, excellent business.

BYTAVI is much more than a vocational training project. The purpose is to connect capable women in Cambodia with their self-worth. They desire empowerment for their staff and seamstresses and for you. A BYTAVI seamstress is empowered knowing you choose to invest in her work. You are empowered to shop differently by investing in quality - the quality of life and a quality handmade product.
BYTAVI products are produced under fair trade principles by a team of talented seamstresses in Cambodia where poverty is widespread. The production process is not hurried or pressured. It is fair. Each seamstress receives a fair wage at the end of the week. It is safe. Each staff member and seamstress is valued as a person, maintaining a safe and holistic work environment. The Shop for Freedom is a program of JVI in support of their freedom business partners. Shop for Freedom sells beautiful products made by survivors of sex trafficking. Partnering with freedom businesses in India and China, The Shop for Freedom raises awareness while providing an opportunity for you to play a role in sustaining freedom for the women. These women are trained, given dignified work, holistic services, a caring community and, most of all, hope on their journey to freedom.
