On August 25, 2010 we donated our first batch of ten Purses with Purpose filled with sixteen everyday products to meet the basic + physical needs of deserving women. Annually, Power to Act serves an average of 390 survivors of domestic violence locally and partners with a global organization in Haiti that provides artisan training and vocation for dozens of improvised + rescued women. Over the years we have learned a Caring Community is required to accomplish this monumental work!

PURSE PARTNER: CREATE A PURSE WITH PURPOSE
GOAL: 9 {OR MORE} Purse Partners FUNDING: $45 Monthly Donation When you become a Purse Partner you create a FULL Purse with Purpose. This includes supporting our Haitian artisans who stitch each purse, all products placed inside each purse, and each generously-filled purse is donated to a local survivor. Every Monthly Donation fully funds + achieves our goal to donate 286 Purses with Purpose annually. |

POWER TO ACT STAFF SUPPORT
GOAL: $2,000 {OR MORE} Monthly Wage FUNDING: Monthly or One-Time Donation of ANY amount Power to Act is predominately an organization of volunteers. However, our Director devotes her time to managing all aspects of the organization. We want to uplift our staff-of-one, this dedicated woman, by providing a living wage. Supporting staff provides Power to Act with desired operational longevity because we look forward to celebrating many more birthdays! |

No local + global community is immune to the reality of this PROBLEM...
Sadly, the injustice is prevalent...
- In urban + rural communities across our nation, *1 in 4 women aged 18 and older have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
- Beyond our borders + across the globe, **1 in 3 of women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner or non-partner sexual violence or both.
Together, we can be part of the SOLUTION...

Power to Act is committed to create just and good solutions. We seek to provide opportunities to act justly and do good with the purpose to renew dignity by meeting the unmet + basic needs of women experiencing adversity in our local and global community.
We consider it unjust that survivors of domestic violence in our local community have limited means to possess practical + everyday products to care or address their basic physical needs. Women in our global community face unjust circumstances of poverty or sex trafficking due to a lack of supportive resources. Dignity renewed is having access to products that care for her physical wellbeing and empowering resources. We aim to remove the yoke of oppression by lightening burdens and satisfying the basic needs of women in despair and distress. We renew dignity when we extend our hearts, identify unmet + physical needs, and provide everyday products that address... - Daily hygiene - Empowering self-care - Dignified clothing + comfort - Establishment of a safe home OR - Regularly host + serve a monthly meal - Provide ongoing + dignified vocation - Supply vital resources Throughout our 15 years of ministry we stay committed to put justice in action and do good for the many deserving women we serve locally + globally. |
